Night Train 50k
Welcome to the old webpage of the Night Train 50k! This race takes place at 5pm on scenic High Bridge Trail State Park on June 30th 2018. This is a night run beginning in Farmville, Virginia. The centerpiece of the run is the famed High Bridge. This structure spans 2400 feet and was the site of one of the closing battles of the Civil War. Runners will traverse this structure twice during their run.

This is a very friendly run for first time ultra or night runners. The trail is level and easy to follow. Crews can access their runners at multiple points throughout the course. A 9.5 hour time limit gives folks plenty of time to complete the race. Of course runners should also realize that they are running an ultra in the Summer in Virginia. Conditions may be very hot and humid.
This race is being conducted by Virginia Adventures, a veteran owned Ultra Marathon company.
